THE BLUSH OF DAWN

It has been three weeks that I haven’t opened my camera kitbag. Late March through May will be the months of shocking summer flogging my city. The heat shimmers right from the morning and as the day progressed it steadily gets unbearable. The sweltering heat would press on the body in a matter of minutes the moment I stepped out the sweat trickling down my face, neck and I have to move around finding my shirt plastered to my damp back.

To cheat the heat, I went out before dawn and captured the strong sunrise hues of crimson and orange and silhouettes it has created. The place was my favorite bridges across the river Krishna. For two hours I tripped around choosing the perfect postures of the rippling river and the early morning portraits of canoes, anglers, boatman, and bathers. And before the summer heat could descend with its menacing might, I returned to the air-conditioned cocoon of my home.
